Doctor.jpgDr Scott Evanter was born and raised in Syosset, New York. Growing up in Syosset has helped him develop the down to earth attitude, work ethic, and morality he has toward health and patient care.

Dr Evanter graduated with a BA in Human Biology from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1978. Upon graduating from the State University in New York, he promptly went to Western State Chiropractor College located in Portland, Oregon, where he specialized in Spinal Bio mechanics of the spine and sports injuries.

Upon obtaining his license in 1982, he founded the Evanter Chiropractic Center with locations in Syosset, New York and Commack, New York. After 36 years of practice he is an active member of various Chiropractor Associations, as well as an established lecturer and columnist on various Chiropractic techniques and philosophy. Aside from his busy schedule of treating patients and directing the Evanter Chiropractic Center, he keeps up to date with many continuing education classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced Chiropractic care.

Dr Evanter spends an enormous amount of time with his practice and patients, but his precious spare time is devoted to quality family time with his wife and four children, ages 17-24.

At the Evanter Chiropractic Center, we understand that health is something you are fortunate to be given at birth and should be maintained and enhanced throughout your lifetime. Unfortunately, most of us are not taught exactly what that means and how we can achieve it to obtain a better quality of life.  Dr. Evanter spends endless hours educating each and every patient on health and the body in order to equip society with the background and tools necessary to maximize health potential.

Pain and symptoms are what bring most people to see Dr Evanter, however, these symptoms are warning signals sent to the brain from the tissue and cell levels. These signals alert the brain that there has been damage. Most commonly, general pain is the primary symptom, yet, symptoms such as burning, tingling, and numbness can also occur. Dr Evanter's focus does not lie solely in treating the symptoms, but correcting the cause of the tissue breakdown or symptom. This allows a more productive life with fewer health drawbacks.
